Okay – so Phi Phi may seem like the stereotypical seafood lover's paradise but when it comes to dining out you'll find out that it's a whole lot more than that. For such a small location, the range of food available is just jaw dropping and the nicest part about it is that service on Phi Phi is super-friendly. Go Italian one night then try traditional Thai the next; there are enough choices here to keep you restaurant hopping for weeks on end.

Le Grand Blue is the island's most elegant and intimate restaurant. Le Grand Blue is located near the pier and features fine French and Thai dining. Many consider Le Grand Blue to be the best restaurant on Phi Phi Island and its cuisine is like nothing else you will find here.

Anna’s is right next to Moskito Diving. New, and with a pleasantly personal feeling. Featuring English breakfasts but also their famous Big Farmers breakfast! Offer a line of German and Italian dishes along with Thai. Cooled by ceiling fans and with friendly staff, it’s one of the better places to eat on Phi Phi. Try the ratatouille.

Unni's is really popular, brand new urban-island-chic decor, with a really cool menu!

Cosmic with the wood-fired pizza here is so good that they had to open up a second location. The inland restaurant has a slightly nicer ambience, with exposed brick walls and wooden tables. Both places serve great Italian food with the pizzas reputedly being the best on Phi Phi Don.

Matts Joint Grill’s primary menu is an all you can eat barbecue!

Lagoon Room is a hidden gem. The food is spectacularly good - Scandinavian via America with a bit of a French twist.

Little Britain Café is catering to the European set and is open early in the morning and late at night. It too specializes in western favorites. Enjoy an early English breakfast here or a late night snack.

Papaya is a small food outlet serving traditional Thai dishes at something like regular Thai prices. Expect food to be spicy!

H.C Andersen Steak house serves from a tremendous selection of international favorites such as Sirloin steak, Greek kebabs, Mexican nachos and the famous Scandinavian Meat Balls.

Pum’s Thai restaurant is where you can attend cooking classes. This restaurant is also recommended by Britain's The Guardian newspaper, BBC books.

Calamaro restaurant is overlooking one of the island's busiest streets. Yet one of the best value for money at the center of Tonsai village (located opposite the Velvet Dojo). Here you can enjoy local Thai cuisine and western dishes.
